My family and I were the first wave of Cambodian refugees to Oregon. We came in 1981 and has been an Oregonian ever since. We love it here in the Pacific Northwest but one thing of our community is that we are small and well scattered through out the Metropolitan area and therefore not much is known of Cambodia and the culture. My dream is to bring exposure of Cambodia to the community and city by offering a fine dining establishment focusing on Authentic Cambodian cuisine.
We are currently the only Cambodian restaurant in Oregon. Mekong Bistro is a dream come true for my family and I. The idea started with a business dream of sharing the cuisine with the community. There aren’t any Cambodian restaurant locally and nearest place you can get Cambodian food is up north in Tacoma, WA. Our first try was the Good Call Sports Bar & Grill but unfortunately Keybank forced us out of business and now we are known as Mekong Bistro.
Mekong Bistro is a Southeast Asia fusion cuisine but our specialty is Khmer dishes. When you are here, you will get to experience some of the most popular dishes from Laos, Thai, and Vietnam as well. We are a family owned and our food is authentic as it can be because mom is the chef. We have a variety of dishes over 70 items on the menu. Khmer hospitality is our goal and our priority is customer service. We want you to experience Cambodia here at Mekong Bistro.
